WHAT WE DO

Our Vision: To be the strategic lead for veteran services in Military City, USA

What We Do

The MVCC Staff provides "backbone support" to the partner organizations that have joined the collaborative. We serve as the administrative and logistical coordinator for military- and veteran-serving community planning:  managing needs assessments, strategic planning, outcomes evaluation and progress reporting efforts.

In addition, we are in planning with a group of San Antonio stakeholders and Syracuse University's Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) to establish a TXServes-San Antonio network starting in May 2017.  TXServes-SA, built on the AmericaServes program model and to be managed by a local coordinating entity (pending selection April 2017), will provide convenient, coordinated access to military- and veteran-serving services and resources through a digitally-enabled network of providers.  TXServes-SA will be the 11th AmericaServes network, following previous deployments in New York, the Carolinas, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington State.
